Where is this going？The first eight books of this series really grabbed me。 Despite the military aspects and the addition of magic， it is very much a coming of age story。 The confusion and angst of being a teenager and feeling like you don’t fit in is very clear。 Idina trying to sort out her authentic self is very relatable。 Anger， frustration， and bewilderment as you grow and change is very familiar to the reader。 This latest book throws in a new twist。 It feels less finished than what went bef Where is this going？The first eight books of this series really grabbed me。 Despite the military aspects and the addition of magic， it is very much a coming of age story。 The confusion and angst of being a teenager and feeling like you don’t fit in is very clear。 Idina trying to sort out her authentic self is very relatable。 Anger， frustration， and bewilderment as you grow and change is very familiar to the reader。 This latest book throws in a new twist。 It feels less finished than what went before。 The denouement of this book makes the series open ended and leaves space for others to take up the tale of the spirit warriors。 It is all becoming more like a comic book。 。。。more
